The next contest is Area in Seminole – March 28 and 29th, so we will have rehearsal Sunday, March 25th

Friday, we will leave at 11 and eat at Chicken Express in Plainview.  We will return about 3:30-4. They need to wear Team jerseys.

On Saturday, we will leave at 8:45.  If your child is an actor, please supply base and eyeliner. Also, your child will need to have makeup remover.  Some actors may need to wash hair – you will need to supply towels, wash rags and soap (I don’t know where they can do this except in the schools’ restrooms).  They need to have dress clothes for the awards ceremony. The plays begin at 1:30.  We are second again L  so we will start around 2:15-2:30.
On Saturday, kids are eating Subways and we will have pizza at night.   Nicole Talley is collecting money for snacks.  Remember that one of our students is allergic to nuts in supplying snacks.

The auditorium is at 501 Hornet Place.  My cell is 806-470-9940.  If you want to have your child ride home with you either Friday or Saturday, I need a note.

Should we advance, the next contest is March 29 with official rehearsal on the 28th.   People have asked for another public performance.  After area, we have time until regionals, so we may plan for one then.

  1. We leave early on Saturday so that Friday night we all have to get good rest and when you wake up wake up in character wake up as your charcter would and go through the day thinking like that charcter so when you get on stage it’s natural

  2. ok I think we need to reestablish our game plan for being in character. it is very important that we find the right headspace before hand, but I don’t think it’s necessary to keep ourselves isolated on the bus. I think the ride up there is a good time to bond and get our energy up! however I think it needs to be clear that this will not be like district and we HAVE to be more professional!

  3. we are going to have to get in the mindset to get ready for bi-district. we need to be in character and be in accent before we get on the bus. we need to be ready and be serious about this competition, its not going to be like district was. we need to be prepared and ready so theres no other option other than winning.

  4. I think that we have put in the hard work and countless hours of work. We are more than prepared and I feel like we are about to peak so keep up the hard work!

  5. If we can keep our heads together and not try to do too much for ourselves we can go all the way to state! All we have to do is stick together and keep getting better. We can all work to improve the show such as me and Payton establishing the struggle we both share.

  6. Alright guys we’ve won the battle but the war is far from over. We have to keep pushing through and become closer as a family which we are good at but can be better. It’s all a mind set so let’s go out there and take it to them!

  7. I think on contest day we need to sit together on the bus as families and interact as families so we get more formulaic in our responses to each other if anything goes crazy during performance a handful of hours in character will work to our ‘think on the spot’ needs
