  1. I think that once we get all the breathing and people noises down, the characters will become more real and have more feelings towards every scene. Adding more noises and reaction to each scene builds it up to where it needs to be. I think Maky puts out a lot of people noises and breathing and it builds up her character and allows us to connect and feel her emotions through out the play. Therefore, I think once the characters have it down, it will really build up our play and help us connect more with each character.

  2. Now is the time to really focus on every little detail! We need as much noise and action we can get. I know it’s hard but if we really start to focus on the details, this play will all come together and I know we can go far with it!

  3. I feel like each rehearsal we become better and better, and we need to continue making these strides forward. I feel like we're really starting to discover our characters and not just act like them but become them. One of my favorite quotes about theatre is one on the auditorium door beside Mrs. Couch's room that reads, "In each role you play, there must be a piece of yourself in the character. Otherwise, it's not acting, it's lying." I think we're starting to find those pieces of ourselves within our characters, which in turn makes us feel more real when becoming them. We need to strive to keep finding these moments of similarity between the people we are on stage and the people we are in real life.

  4. i think both these rehearsals were very important. you can start to see the building of relationships between characters. of course we could still use more breathing, people noises, and emotional responses to each other. we need to continue to study the characters and connect with each other to really make the play come alive, but our progress is noticeable:)

  5. I think. that each character needs to think about their back story and their uncertain future. I t will help them with their expressions.

  6. I think that it’s very important because we improve every rehearsal. We need a lot more people noises and emotions. React bigger and don’t lose accents toward the end of your lines. I think that when we get those things down we are doing good, we are so much ahead of everyone so let’s keep improving!

  7. I think that everytime I step on stage I need to be Sheila. I need to walk like her and talk like her every moment, I should never be on stage, Sheila should be. This is something I struggle with but I do believe I can fix with time and focus.

  8. I think the play is getting better little by little. Every time we step on stage we need to start giving 100% into becoming our character and creating a new soul.

  9. We have come so far! To make this even more real, we need to evaluate every moment and act out how each character would handle the situation. This has to happen in order to properly portray what was actually going on in the lives of these women and children

  10. Being this close to contest, we need to have all hands on deck. Of course nailing people noises and working on connections will help advance the play, but we need to be focusing on even smaller details like not taking backstage, and even staying in character while not on stage. Not only will this help with character development, it will also help make the play more realistic and believable overall.

  11. Everybody needs to stay locked in and give 100% everytime y'all step on that stage. We are doing good so far but need to keep improving to become great.

  12. I think we need to keep getting better and better all the time. We need to keep improving and not peak too early. Remember everything Mrs. Couch and everyone else has told us.

  13. We need to keep improving every practice and we need to have a more rigged feeling after Eli dies thought the play to really get the feeling that we are going for and for the judges to know what the plays tone is
