Theatre Camp for High School Students

About the Camp
West Texas Fine Arts teachers are pairing to offer the kids of West Texas an affordable theatre camp.  This camp/workshop will be 7 days of intensive training in all aspects of Theatre and sharpen the students creative process.  Auditions will be held for 3 different one act productions. On the final day of camp the productions will be staged for Parents and campers to enjoy.  Along with six talented West Texas directors, there will be mentors for each production.  These include theatre legends from West Texas!
Camp Fees (Non-Profit Camp - no one has a stipend)
Student fees/housing/food…………………………..350.00
Students can arrive anytime after 2p.m on June 8th and before 5 p.m
Students may be picked up After their performances on June 16th. 

Housing will be at the Historic Camp Post Boy Scout Camp(air conditioned).  Students will be bused back and forth from the camp to the Post ISD Auditorium for workshops and rehearsals.  Post has a brand new state of the art facility to use! Boys and Girls Bunk houses are separate, and there will be a camp counselor in each at all times.
Camp Directors
Tim and Leslie Tatum (Post High School), Zachery Kocurek-Gentry and Tanis Blount (Lubbock High School), Laurel Tatum Bush (Waxahachie Life High School) and Azure Mcluckie.
Students will all audition for roles in the three shows.  No need for a rehearsed monologue.  All directors will conduct theatre exercises and cold readings to cast their shows.

 Camp Mentors/Workshop leaders
Gloria Mcluckie, Lou Lindsey, Freida Attaway, Cindy Couch.  Each of these wonderful mentors have had multiple trips to the State OAP meet, several winning Championships on every level from 1A-5A.  We are blessed to have their leadership and guidance.
