The second performance for Lou wasn't as good as the first obviously. We lacked in mindset. We need to be prepared mentally before any competition or clinic.
I agree that this wasn’t our best performance. However, we still are far ahead of everyone and want to peak just yet. So I think that we should take in his corrections and keep improving!
this clinic was a little rough and we definitely have room for improvement but i believe if we keep working and take all of lou’s critiques to heart we can do great!
I know we didn’t do as good yesterday as we did on saturday, but I think we still managed to impress Lou! I think we were all tired and just weren’t quite prepared. I’m glad he liked some of the changes in our play such as the letters and some of kadyn’s scenes! I will try and size up reese a little more like he said. If we all work together I know that we will get better:)
today kadyn and I worked on our scene which I have been worried about. hearing that it is a pinnacle scene can be stressful as it’s a lot of pressure. but today gave me a lot of confidence as i’ve finally gotten a direction to send my character in!
I also think it wasn’t our best performance, but I believe we will get better and become stronger as a group. If we keep working harder and doing 100% each rehearsal and take everything that Lou said we will improve in everything.
The second performance wasn’t as good as the first one we did for him but it definitely wasn’t bad! I think there is just a couple of things we need to gradually get better on.
I think we need to start getting into the flow of “practice how you play” because in this area it’s so much more important than in sports. In OAP if bad habits are formed they show up on stage and it’s almost like a neon sign so we need to act as though everytime we are on stage that it is an actual competition.
I think what’s really needed is getting into that character before you get on stage, something I saw cooper doing was she was acting as her charcter before she performed she would only answer to her character name and stayed in that charcter 30 minutes before the play started
In the second clinic with Lou, I think we really struggled to become our characters, which caused the emotion and tension to be lacking. After a long time of practicing, we start to lose that fear and sadness we know are characters felt during this time because we've got used to the goings on. We have to remember that these emotions and events are new to our characters, and react accordingly.

ReplyDeleteThe way that we did for this clinic was not the best. On the gun shot wait a minute for everything to get set.

ReplyDeleteI like how Lou told us in the dead scene to make a formation in the end. I believe that will give the scene more dimension and meaning.

ReplyDeleteIf we can show our emotion and how much our lives change through out the play it will significantly improve our play.

ReplyDeleteI’m proud of Alee for how she did. I also agree completely with what Eli said. We did lack in mindset. We gotta play to win!
ReplyDeleteI agree that the second performance was not as good as the first one. we need to keep it fresh and exciting so it looks good every time.
ReplyDeleteI agree with kadyn. If we keep it good every time we will know what to change even more.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Eli, I thought our show was lacking in several areas. I felt as if we weren’t all there as we were the first performances
ReplyDeleteI think we just need to keep working and pushing as hard as we can every practice. Everyone needs to work on chemistry between family and friends.

ReplyDeleteWe need to work on diction and people noises
