We still need to work on the Britannia transition because it looks really out of place. I feel like there needs to be a big build up to the climax and lots of noise in the last couple of scenes to build up the intensity, that way the silence of Judith and Joans monologues st the end will really break people’s heart. I just think everything needs to be more spontaneous and we have to become really intense to support the climax.
I agree with cooper that the Britannia scene looks out of place. I think this was a good rehearsal! I wish I was there in person so I could see better and hear better because I couldn’t really hear the siren at the begin. And when the siren starts for the bomb scene I feel like everyone look a long time to get to there “safe places” before chamberlain started speaking.
We need to hear Mrs.Briggs breathing loudly in fear when Alister fomes back home. Joan needs to have more fear in her voice when she says “I never thought i could do something like this...”. I also think they still need to work on the connecing between them and their character. Judith needs to show more sadness and fear in the cheek to cheek seen, and also more breathing.
We need to work on Eli’s entrance on the last scene. He maybe needs to show more emotion and be more loving towards Judith. He is a memory and it’s how Judith has remembered him. We just need to have better rehearsals from now on and put our 100% in every practice. So that we can make it through contest and make it to state.
-In the scene at the beginning when it’s going back and forth between Judith/Frank and Brian/Joan I think Judith and Frank need to freeze. Joan and Brian do and it looks good. -Freezes need to be spontaneous. Not anticipated. In the bar scene, you can really tell the freezes are rehearsed and timed. I think they’ll look better if they’re spontaneous. -Mrs. Briggs, more heavy breathing when you find out your son lost his leg. Louder too. -“It’s a piece of glass” needs to be a tiny bit louder if possible. -Frank- I think we need to work on your entrance at the end somehow, singing at the very end might need to be a little bit louder. We need to keep working and improving. Give 100% every time. I think we have a good chance of going to state this year. We’ve just got to keep working hard.
I definitely need to try to relate to my character more. I can tell that I don’t really know Mrs. Briggs. She seems too young and needs to have some rough edges to her that make her a round character. She seems too flat. Jonathan and I need to show a little more familiarity. We seem a little uncomfortable. But most importantly I need to connect with her more so it comes more natural.
I think our show is so strong and amazing, but I think that if we give just a bit more, tried a bit harder, and stayed a bit longer we could make this show something spectacular. All we have to fix is the little things, which conveniently happen to be super hard to fix. I think we can do it, it will just take dedication.
Whenever we sing they need to be more peppy also we don't need to rush scene's because we did have 2 whole minutes left that could change a lot out of the whole play.

I think they need to work on transitions because they seem rough and like it’s not real
